Here at Lost Bay, we are all partners personally invested in your helicopter experience. We aren't employees of a faceless corporation. We are a small, passionate “framily” business, and can't wait to take you flying! Come see us!
Mike is our latest addition to the Lost Bay Helicopters team, but is in no way a “newbie”. He’s been flying helicopter tours in the Orange Beach area for several seasons now! A northerner hailing from Washington State, he still fit in immediately, having been a Combat Engineer for the US Army who served in Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom (so we forgive him for being a yankee ;) We couldn’t be more grateful to have Mike, his wife Arbie, and his daughter Keira as part of the Lost Bay fam!

The brains of the operation, Rachael is the only non veteran in our organization (makes sense). Instead, she took the easy way out, attending Vanderbilt University and graduating with degrees in Economics and Psychology. Since then, she's been in the corporate world, with experience in both operations and sales. Therefore, she's responsible for everything that's not flying the helicopter, or defending the country.
Helicopter CFI-I, James served 4 years in the Army as a Military Police Soldier, including a tour in Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. A Purple Heart recipient, he has literally bled red, white, and blue. Dry and prickly by nature, he received his flight training at Guidance Aviation in his home state of Arizona. Following that, James worked as a flight instructor and Safety Program Manager at Guidance Aviation in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Helicopter CFI-I, Kyle served 6 years in the U.S. Air Force as an F-16 crew chief, including a tour in Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Born and raised on the Bayou, he received his flight training at Guidance Aviation in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He later studied graphic design at Loyola University in New Orleans. Kyle is so 'Merican he should come with a trigger warning.
Helicopter CFI-I, Erick is an Alabama local, "Roll Tide!" He has served in the US Marine Corps reserves for 12 years, including deployments to Afghanistan and Africa both in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
